The D07 LEVEL MAGIC is a two channel digital Non destructive Loudness Normalizer providing automatic control of Loudness on any incoming source, regardless its input level with exceptionally high audio quality.

The digital transmission processor d07 is designed for optimised levelling of program signals for FM broadcast and TV transmission and reliable protection of transmission paths against overload at the output of studios, OB vans as well as satellite up-links.

The device operates fully digitally and, beside AES/EBU interface, it makes use of high end 24bit A/D converters so that digital dynamic processing is possible for analog as well as digital signals.

All essential adjusting parameters for dynamic processing are adaptive and controlled and constantly optimised by the program signal. Due to the combination of limiter and adaptive filter the signal limitation is done by consideration of transmitter pre-emphasis. Beside the peak-limiter for restriction of peak levels the MPX-limiter guarantees the compliance with standards for energy spreading of the FM signal.

The signal compression by the compressor and the related loudness gain are completely free of typical artifacts of dynamic processors such as pumping, breathing or signal colouring. If program sources are changed very often and their signal levels need to be adapted automatically an AGC (automatic gain control) controls the average level and the balance of a stereo signal.
