Dolby® ED2 Format

Dolby® ED2 is a digital audio codec designed specifically for post-production and broadcasting workflows. Dolby® ED2 is an extension to Dolby® E and is backwards compatible. It supports up to 16 channels of audio in two encoded streams (4 audio channels), allowing for high-quality surround or immersive sound transmission while maintaining compatibility with existing broadcast infrastructures.

The decoder is equipped with features that ensure a flexible and efficient workflow, such as synchronization to video signals and comprehensive metadata creation and handling. It supports various audio channel formats, making it highly adaptable to different production needs.
