Jünger Audio Showcases Industry-First S-ADM Cloud Workflow at IBC 2026
Dolby, MainConcept, Techex and Jünger Audio will showcase the industry’s first demonstration of Serial Audio Definition Model (S-ADM) in a cloud-based production environment at IBC 2026. The proof of concept demonstrates a live Next-Generation Audio (NGA) workflow on AWS, using SRT-TS to transport audio and metadata between processing stages. At its core, Jünger Audio’s flexAIcloud provides the S-ADM authoring. Within the cloud instance, flexAIcloud automatically levels the individual audio components and creates the corresponding S-ADM metadata. This metadata describes how the components are combined and presented, enabling different languages, audio description and personalized listening options. Crucially, Jünger Audio’s contribution extends beyond authoring to monitoring the resulting output. Operators can inspect the generated metadata values within the same cloud instance and use Dolby rendering to pre-listen to the resulting audio presentations. This allows both the metadata and its audible results to be checked before the audio and metadata are passed on for encoding and distribution. S-ADM provides a future-oriented metadata format for both live and file-based workflows. Dolby AC-4 is an NGA codec, providing efficient delivery of high-quality immersive, personalized and object-based audio in Dolby Atmos format.
The demonstration will be shown at the EBU stand (10.D21) as part of the ADM Implementers Group presentation, at Jünger Audio (8.D37), MainConcept (1.C15) and Techex (2.B45).
