SDI embedded audio processing

Processing of audio that is carried within an SDI connection - so simplifying cabling and routing.

The standard allows up to four groups each of four mono audio channels. Usually used by most of D-VTR's and other equipment is Group 1 with 48 kHz synchronous sampling. Synchronous means that the audio clock is genlocked to the associated video. Up to 24-bit samples are allowed but mostly only up to 20 are currently used.

The processors of SDI boards in  b4x, D*AP & T*AP and C8000 are compatibel with the standard SMPTE 272M-AB.
They support 48 kHz synchronous audio sampling with 20 bit word length. Group selection is possible. The input for the digital audio processing can be selected between AES/EBU or SDI (serial digital video with embedded audio).
At B4x and D*AP/T*AP boxes the processed signals are always present at both outputs - AES/EBU and SDI. With SDI20 cards audio signal can be inserted or incoming embedded audio can be replaced.
